The Description
Students can name Kepler's laws, then get absolutely tangled when an unfamiliar orbit diagram appears on a Regents question. The issue often isn't the vocabulary—it's knowing how to use the relationships.
This free orbital-motion review gives students a way to revisit eccentricity, planetary motion, and related models before moving into Regents-style application. It is useful for diagnosing which part of an orbital explanation still needs attention.
What Students Will Do
Review orbital motion, gravity, and solar-system patterns.
Read diagrams and data involving elliptical orbits and Kepler's laws.
Explain gravitational and orbital relationships.
Practice with released Earth & Space Sciences Regents questions.
Why This Resource Is Different
A released question tells me whether a student got it right. I also want to know which part of the model they were picturing when they answered. The scaffolded review before the exam questions makes that difference easier to see.
