The Description
We all say the Sun supplies Earth's energy. But how does the Sun make that energy in the first place? This HS-ESS1-1 quiz-card activity makes fusion and stellar-energy ideas into something students explain rather than just recognize.
Run the same stellar-energy question cards as quick partner exchanges, student-paced Quiz & Cruise stations, or a teacher-led Carousel. The science stays the same; the amount of movement and support is up to you.
What Students Will Do
Quiz classmates about solar fusion, stellar energy, and the Sun's life cycle
check and correct answers
trade cards and move to new partners. Reuse the set for stations or a quick warm-up.
Why This Resource Is Different
'The Sun makes energy' is a sentence students can repeat without explaining a single change in the Sun's core. I don't want a fast review to reward that kind of confident vagueness. Partner questioning makes students put the fusion explanation into words, hear it checked, and try again with a new classmate.
And because the cards also work for Quiz & Cruise, Carousel, and individual practice, I can revisit the same science without building four different reviews.
