The Description
Kepler's laws sound tidy in a list. Explaining an orbit's shape, motion, and changing speed is where students have to connect those ideas. This movement-based review turns the relationships into questions students actually answer aloud.
The same Kepler's laws cards work as partner Quiz Quiz Switch Switch, independent Quiz & Cruise, or a structured Carousel for guided orbital review.
What Students Will Do
Question classmates about orbital models, Kepler's laws, and planetary motion
explain and check answers, trade cards, and move to new partners. Use the same set for station reviews.
Why This Resource Is Different
The three laws fit beautifully on a study sheet. They don't always fit quite so neatly in a student's mental model of an orbit. I want students to connect shape, distance, period, and speed—not just identify which law a question sounds like.
These card rounds let students explain and check those relationships repeatedly. Use the partner version when they're ready to talk, or a station/Carousel version when they need a little more space to work.
