The Description
Did life change Earth's atmosphere, or did changes on Earth shape life? The interesting science goes in both directions.
This HS-ESS2-7 partner-review set gives students practice connecting organisms with changing air, water, land, and climate.
Practice the two-way Earth–life relationships through partner rounds, student-paced Quiz & Cruise, or a guided Carousel.
What Students Will Do
Explain coevolution evidence and processes to partners
check and correct responses
trade cards and move to another partner
adapt the deck for Quiz & Cruise, Carousel, or individual study.
Why This Resource Is Different
'Life and Earth affected each other' sounds scientific and explains almost nothing. Which change came first? What evidence connects the two? Students need practice describing that two-way relationship rather than memorizing a very impressive word.
The repeated partner exchanges are intentional: explain an Earth–life connection, check it, and try again. The cards can also be used independently or in guided stations when the reasoning needs more time.
